Mary Lindblom

VILLAGE KIDS COORDINATOR

Mary Lindblom is the Coordinator for Village Kids, the elementary-school aged (ages 5 - 11) children's program at the Village Church. As the coordinator for Village Kids, she incorporates many facets of Christian worship into the children's Sunday Equipping Class, facilitating an atmosphere for the children to experience God's truths in their own time. In addition to coordinating the Village Kids class, she is also a founding member and organizer of the Ivy League Homeschool Cooperative. She homeschools her own boisterous crew, drinks copious amounts of cacao, lures song birds to her backyard, reads old books, and dreams of a weedless garden, all of this very imperfectly.

Cynthia Mann

Director of Administration

Cynthia has been at The Village Church since October 2010. She is a native of North Alabama and has lived in Huntsville most of her life. She graduated from S.R. Butler High school here in Huntsville and obtained her degree from Auburn University. She has three adult children who are married and live in town which allows her to spend lots of time with six grandsons and one granddaughter, her favorite thing to do. Cynthia's maternal grandparents, along with her parents, were instrumental in the development of her faith. At the age of seven, Cynthia prayed with her grandfather to receive God's wonderful gift of salvation by grace alone through faith alone through Christ alone. Her heart's desire is to continue this legacy of faith by telling the next generation of God.

Who We are:

The Village Church is a congregation of The Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). We are a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic, church located in northwest Huntsville, AL.

Our Vision

Broken people coming together to embrace and extend Christ's love.

Our Mission

To know - enjoy - and glorify Jesus.

Summary of Our Beliefs:

  • We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God, without error in the original writings.

  • We believe in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

  • We believe that by one man, Adam, sin entered the world; that for salvation of lost sinful men, regeneration by the Holy Spirit through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ is absolutely essential.

  • We believe in the deity and virgin birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, that He died upon the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice for the sin of the world, that He rose from the dead and ascended into heaven, from whence He will return with power and glory.

  • We believe in the doctrine of justification by faith realizing it is impossible for man, through works, to please God or save himself.

  • We believe that true faith produces repentance from sin and obedience to God, and that the necessity of repentance is such that none can expect pardon without it.

  • We believe in life after death; that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and the unjust.

  • We believe in the resurrection of the saved into everlasting life in heaven and the resurrection of the lost or unsaved into eternal punishment.

  • We believe that God’s Holy Spirit gives Christians the daily strength and wisdom they need to walk according to His will and to grow in holiness.

  • We believe that Jesus Christ shall return personally, visibly, and bodily to judge all mankind and to receive His people unto Himself.

For a complete statement of our beliefs please see the Westminster Confession of Faith.
