Pastor Alex Shipman has served as Senior Pastor of The Village Church since 2011, bringing a deep commitment to authentic community and biblical teaching.

Before coming to TVC, Pastor Alex served in ministry roles in Greenville, SC for several years and earned his Master of Divinity from Reformed Theological Seminary, Charlotte, NC. His greatest joy in ministry is seeing people move from just knowing about God to experiencing a life-transforming relationship with Him.

Pastor Alex is married to his lovely wife, Wyketa, and together they love raising their 2 kids, Madison and Treyson. When he isn’t preparing a sermon or visiting church members, you can find him at local coffee shops talking about sports and Jesus, or around town sharpening his photography skills.
